My recent Easter getaway at Amieira Marina was nothing short of magical! We rented a houseboat on the beautiful Alqueva Lake, which is not only the largest in Europe but also a pristine escape from everyday life. The freedom to navigate our own route and moor where we pleased was thrilling, especially for my 3-year-old, who loved hopping off to explore the stoned beaches and swim in the crystal-clear waters. The staff made our stay incredibly welcoming and organized, even arranging late check-in for us. Each evening, we enjoyed the spectacular night skies-stargazing while having a home-cooked meal right on the boat was simply unforgettable. For those looking for a true retreat, I highly recommend creating your own little sanctuary in the middle of the lake. I'll definitely be returning to experience more of this serene paradise!
